Barrenwort,Bishop’s Mitre. A clump-forming perennial with heart-shaped, green leaves, purple-tinted when young. Charming pendent, violet-purple flowers with spurs. Max Height 20cm to 30cm. Max Spread 30cm. Flowers March to April. Partial shade. Hardy. Back-fill with soil mixed with peat substitute and a suitable fertiliser.
