Black Locust. A columnar tree with attractive yellow leaves, turning yellow-green in summer and orange-yellow in autumn. Pendent clusters of fragrant white flowers in early and mid-summer. Max Height 15m. Max Spread 8m. Flowers June to July. Full sun. Hardy. Harmful if eaten. Back-fill with soil mixed with peat substitute and a suitable fertiliser.
