Butchers Broom. A native subshrub with upright stems of spiny tipped dark green leaves. Inconspicuous greenish white flowers are followed by showy red berries from late summer to winter. Max Height 80cm. Max Spread 1m. Flowers April to May. Fruits August to February. Full sun/partial shade. Hardy. Back-fill with soil mixed with peat substitute and a suitable fertiliser.
